VOLCANO GODS — Balinese Hindus go into deep trance on Peti Tenget Beach in Bali, Indonesia, as millions of Balinese celebrate Melasti prior to the start of the Balinese New Year. The Balinese believe this ancient ritual helps them keep in balances with the spirits that reside in the ocean and the spirits which reside in the mountains which are volcanoes.
