Project Description

Children play in the clear waters of the Kuang Si Waterfall located just outside Luang Pabang in northen Lao. Years ago people believed that nine snake protected that sacred waterfall. These nine snakes had red color on thier neck, different then all other snakes in the region. People believed that no one should kill these snakes. Then around the year 1999 or 2000 a memeber of the Lao military killed one of these snakes. The other eight snakes became angry and destroyed part of the Kuang Si waterfall then vanished leaving the waterfall less beautiful. This is a Khmu tribe legend.
